Eligibility criteria for UPSC civil service exam:
Educational qualification: Candidates need to have a degree in any stream from a university which is recognized and approved by UGC. There is no minimum overall percentage that candidate need to have in the degree.
Age limit: Candidate should be between 21 and 31 years of age as on 2.08.15. The age relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate is 03 years, SC/ST candidate is 5 years and for PH candidates it is 10 years.

UPSC takes two written exam to select a candidate, first one is the preliminary exam also known as IAS pre written exam. Candidates need to visit the official website www.upsconline.nic.in to fill the UPSC online examination form. Next click on online application for various examinations of UPSC then you will be redirected to the registration page. On the registration page click on part -1 and fill the online application form according to the instructions.
After submitting the part – 1 you will get your registration number and password keep these information safe. Take the print out of the challan and deposit the fee in the nearest SBI bank after 24 hours. Log in again and complete the part – 2 of the registration and your application will be submitted.
